I've been using 3 of these units to protect my families households for about a year now. I am able to easily remote into them via secured VPN tunnels thru my Dream Machine Pro. Being able to be tech support for 3 other houses from the comfort of my house is amazing. These units are comparable in price to high end home gateways but in my opinion this unit is by far superior. I have never had a unit lose it's configuration after a reboot or a power outage or ever. I highly recommend.

An outstanding product. I now have 3 and had my daughter get one as well. The capabilities are beyond what any typical router can do. The features and functions are industrial grade. I have had my 1st one for almost 2 years now and it has been rock solid. Blocking incoming traffic by country is a typical advanced feature. Ubiquiti Networks support their products like no other manufacturer.

I would say one of, if not, the best routers on the market!

Lots of functionality and thus far bulletproof reliability. Never had any issues. I work in IT and it does everything I personally need my home firewall / router / wifi device to do. If you are hardcore like the Lawrence Systems guy on Youtube you might be better off with something else but for me it's been great. I live in a strangely shaped stacked condo and with this in my upstairs computer room I have no issues with connecting from the basement or garage through numerous walls and floors.

I do kind of wish I would have bought the next level up with the built-in DVR but that one was out of stock and this one was on sale.

Ubiquiti does give so much bang for the buck and I plan on adding more of their devices

Many strengths, particularly being able to scan web traffic at high speeds. Looks cool, easy for home users or business users to set up. No need for on site controller as cloud controller is included with no subscription cost.

Does not like sudden power outages, takes a long time to boot

Completely recommend. If you find you got a lemon like the previous reviewer, bring it back to Memory Express and swap it for a new one. I have deployed 4 of these and all of them have worked flawlessly.

I use many ubiquiti products and this is by far the most garbage one. Even a simple reboot can break this product. I have one and had it set up 5 times in 2 months. Everytime it breaks after reboot. One time it broke after power outage.

Looks good on paper, but i would not recommend it.
