IEEE-802.3af PoE Powered
Ubiquiti has drastically reduced the time and cost of hardware installation by using a Single PoE Powered Cable. This gives you increased installation options and allows for quick and easy movement of these APs to suit your growing needs over time.
The low power draw (10.5W maximum), allows for many FlexHDs to be alloted to a PoE Switch, further reducing your TCO.
Installation Notes:
Determine the installation location of the UAP FlexHD:
- Ceiling: For installing in a ceiling tile using the optional recessed ceiling mount assembly (sold separately)
- Desktop: For installing on a flat surface such as a desktop or table/shelf; could be set up for temporary installations
- Pole: For installing on a pole (indoor or outdoor)
- Wall: For installing in a secure location; used more for stationary or permanent installations
Note: When installing Ethernet cabling on a pole or up the outer surface of a wall, use RJ45 connectors without strain-relief boots on them. This will prevent unnecessary tension on the cable ends.
