First PC in 10 years.

Strengths:

FAST shipping even on backorder (2 days ymmv!) SHIPPED WITH CANADAPOST Gorgeous Quiet Good size Fast Well put together. Good components compared to other pre builts I looked at; I looked for over a year... A good price when you consider the extra costs of a custom PC (windows / installation labor) Of course if your confident in your building skills your probably not looking at a prebuilt, but im too nervous to put together my own, especially considering if something goes wrong its not their problem and they wont replace an improperly installed part.

Weaknesses:

I haven't a bad thing to say, but if I had to do some reaching, the fact the ram LEDs don't remember the settings is annoying, but that's a Kingston problem. My PC was put in the box upside down, but that didn't affect anything as it was well packaged.

Additional Comments:

Background. I've had the PC for 3 weeks now. I went to the Langley store and was treated terribly, as if I'm there to steal, or not serious about buying a system. I expected enthusiasts and what I got was someone just trying to sell me a more expensive system, without being able to answer simple questions or give suggestions about what products are best to avoid. Based on the fact they work at a computer store I expected them to be more knowledgeable. I was there to pay cash, and left after they BS'ed me about this system taking weeks or months to come off backorder. Maybe I need to come in with a few hundreds hanging out my pocket...I felt like I was talking to people who weren't very familiar with computers when it should have been the other way around! So I went with the online store. As you can see this system is still on backorder, and after what they told me I did expect my order to take a little while... I received my PC TWO days after placing my order ( to be fair it came from Alberta and im from BC, but still amazing) Shipped via CANADAPOST, and not UPS. Canada Post actually cares about the condition of your package, but that comes at a higher price so I was happy M/E spent that extra money to make sure my package arrived safely, even with free shipping. Most companies go the for the cheapest rates at the expense of your package. Kudos. PC came very well packaged. Expanding foam inside PC to protect components, foam support around PC, then placed inside the PC case Box, which was placed inside a non descript box. Came with a pouch with all the extra cables/screws/panels/extra thermal paste/GPU support. The only thing is was that my pc was upside down when I opened the box, arrows facing up. I dont think it was detrimental, but something to consider. However, other than that, I don't have much else bad to say; Customer service was responsive either via email or phone. PC review: Looks: I wanted to go with MSI. They seem to have quality components and any MSI product I ever owned was fantastic.. I wanted at least an 850w 80+ supply, high quality DIMM/capacitor motherboard, 320mm AIO cooler and Intel/Nvidia CPU GPU . Every other system I looked at never checked all my boxes. This one did, I went with the 4070 TI super, they have an identical system with a 4070 super that im sure is awesome as well for a bit less, but I wanted the 16gb of vram as I wanted to game at 1440p. Its freakin beautiful. I find myself peeking through the side just to admire how nice it looks. Going from a rats nest to this is incredible, its just so clean looking. The motherboard is gorgeous. The case is smaller than I expected, the picture made it look huge but its actually a great size. LEDS in the fans can be turned off by holding the led button for about 8 seconds so my room isn't lit up which is nice. The ram LEDS have a program to control them but after the computer sleeps or restarts it goes back to a rainbow wave pattern, so a little annoying but that's a Kingston software problem. Wrap around glass is gorgeous. Performance/Technical: If your considering a PC from memory express, id recommend them. I can instantly reach customer service if I need to. Ill never go to the Langley store again and will deal with the online store from on. And if your considering a PC, go with either this one or the similar system with the 4070 super. If you go with an intel CPU, its a good idea to find a 360mm AIO for it as raptor/alder lake intel CPUs run hot, and a smaller AIO or non Noctua Air coolers can make the CPU run hot or the fans run loud. When your looking at prebuilts, be sure to look at each component in the PC. Alot of companies will just put "240mm AIO cooler" "32gb ram" without stating exactly WHAT component you'll be getting. They will try to use the cheapest parts while charging you more, so always look...
