Solid 1440p Card with Great Thermals

Strengths:

Cool Thermal Performance 1440p Performance Build Quality Caught it on Sale 16GB VRAM

Weaknesses:

Large Size Uses Three PCI-E 8 Pin Connectors Instead of Two Anti-Sag Bracket Required Modification

Additional Comments:

Solid 1440p performance with little worry about future titles thanks to the 16GB VRAM, ray tracing performance is no where near Nvidia levels but for the price, VRAM size, and performance versus Nvidia's offerings it's a non-issue. The build quality is solid and has a nice design to it. Cooling performance is fantastic as well as quiet. The card was on sale, and anything on the Nvidia side in this price range is no where near performance or the 16GB VRAM size. AMD drivers have not been an issue in any manner, those days seem long gone. But for quite some time, I had to avoid AMD cards for that exact reason. The only cons versus other RX 6800 cards would be the use of three PCI-E 8 pin connectors versus two that the majority of other RX 6800 have. The only other problem I had ran into which would not be applicable for everyone but for me was an issue with the case I was using, the anti-sag bracket required modification by drilling an additional hole into it. One PCI backplate on the case would have been left unscrewed, and had potential to jut out of place if left unscrewed requiring me to drill a hole into the dead space to facilitate a screw in that position. It wasn't the end of the world but I'm unsure why such a large dead space exists as a compatibility issue can exist like in my case. Overall though I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend this card to others, especially if you can find it on sale.

Good Value?

Strengths:

Great Cooler, Nice RGB, Excellent 1440p Performance. the 256bit bus 16gb RAM give this card legs that will age better than anything with 8GB. On sale makes it worth consideration.

Weaknesses:

RX6750XT is way cheaper (and also less powerful). 3- 8pin PCIe power cables required. the card is very big, barely fits in a mATX case. Regular price is too high.

Additional Comments:

I upgraded from a GTX 1060, and I could not be happier. I would have liked to wait and see what a RX 7700 would look like, but I've been waiting too long already. This sale price was enough to make me jump, but I almost cheeped out on a slower card.
