Additional Comments:
I'm going to get this one out of the way right now; yes, the monitor is dimmer but i think this is for a good reason. OLED is very much like Plasma back in the day where it can burn in and due to the fact that this is being used as a monitor i think they wanted to limit that and made it not as bright, so this is recommended in a dimmer room but i dont notice a problem in a well lit room.
The monitors HDR performance is fantastic and it adds a whole new feel to horror games or any game that can take advantage of dark scenes, the sheer blacks due to it being OLED is amazing.. Text on this monitor is a little fuzzier as well and this is due to the sub pixel layout.
If you want a brighter OLED panel you can go with the Asus version of this for more $, but it actually uses the same panel so its not much of a difference.

Strengths:
Out of box, mine has the big firmware update everyone talks about already. However, when poking around setting (only available via remote) found the power saving mode to be on High, and that causes the brightness to change periodically automatically. Sometimes makes everything uncomfortably dim. This is for preventing burn in and save on power consumption. Each to its own, turn it off for better visually, or leave it on for longevity.
Other than the elephant in the room, this monitor delivers something I’ve never experienced before in 15 years of gaming, the picture is so crisp and clear, motion cleanliness is another universe, my eyes are not strained even in dark environment without any other lighting. Even viewing YouTube is another level, colour pops without any artificial effect.
This being an early real gaming oled, I have the cash, I’m willing to support.

Additional Comments:
Don't be fooled by the tempting specs on this. This monitor is SO dim that it leaves a bad taste in your mouth for spending so much money for it. Luckily I was able to return mine.
SDR brightness is too poor to use. And the white window dimming in HDR is so DIM it makes it an absolute nightmare, even getting on the memory express website it drops down to something around 100-125nits.
HDR brightness also gets no where near the 800nit peak brightness the product claims.
I completely DO NOT recommend this monitor unless purchasing in a sale, and even then, if you run everything in dark mode, and almost never visit primarily white toned websites, or work on word/excel.
