Masters 1440p gaming

Strengths:

Got this on sale with the Alan Wake 2 bundle. I paired it with an i5-13600k and it's been a 1440p beast. GPU / CPU temps stay around 50º ~ 60º C under load and my Peerless Assassin 120 SE stays nice and quiet. Alan Wake 2 on high /ultra settings, DLSS on with medium ray tracing is buttery smooth.

Weaknesses:

12GB VRAM is more than enough for high / ultra 1440p gaming and will be so for the next 3 ~ 4 years, but likely not more after that. Especially with the upcoming UE5 and the current state of games' appalling lack of optimization, we'll be hard-pressed to find games that actually run smoothly unless we cash out the extra coin to make up for the industry's shortcomings.

Additional Comments:

You can crank most games up to ultra everything and turn on medium / high raytracing and play at smooth 1440p just fine (DLSS may help more in some titles). If you are like me, and are perfectly happy with adjusting some settings down to high / medium 3 ~ 4 years down the line, then I say why not pick this card up if it's on a decent sale. If you already have a 30 series, it may be worth waiting for the 40 Supers in early 2024...
