Don't buy AM5 quite yet?

Strengths:

ROG Strix brand Assembled my system with this B650E, a 7600 and 32Gb of XPG Lancer Blade RGB DDR5-6000 CL30 32GB. Reused the Kingston A2000 and Inland Premium Gen4 I had in my X570 / 5600X system.

Weaknesses:

Memory and NVME management/performance First thing I noticed was POST takes 32 ~ 34 seconds. Stays in the RAM LED for a long time. Reading online I disabled EXPO, and also enabled other features that seemed to have worked for others, not for me, still takes 30+ seconds to POST. Also noticed the Inland NVME drive writes are on the floor, performs to about 1/10th or less of it's performance on the X570, moved it to another M.2 slot, same result. The Kingston A200 I think performs ok but still a bit worse than X570. I have updated BIOS, drivers, reinstalled Windows 11 again. Tried anything I can find online. Also read online other AM5 boards are having what seems to be the same issues, but things that worked for them doesn't work on this Asus ROG board =( Fingers crossed a BIOS update will fix these problems.

Additional Comments:

The system doesn't crash on CPU stress test or on Memory benchmarking and testing. The CPU stress test was from CPU-Z and ran for 10 mins until I stopped it. As for memory tests; 0 errors.

Failed after 30 days

Strengths:

While it worked, it worked great. Compared to my old Intel Core i9 system everything loaded WAY faster. Looked cool and M.2 installation was made way easier with the little clips they use now.

Weaknesses:

As the title says, it stopped working after 30 days. Doesn't get much weaker than that...

Additional Comments:

While it worked, the board did what it was supposed to do. Mobo failed while I was gaming and the DRAM light came on, unfortunately I did not buy IPR when I got the board. I learned two lessons with this build: 1. Buy IPR on Mobo and CPU at minimum 2. Never buy an open box Mobo

Awesome

Strengths:

High quality motherboard with pcie 5.0x16 and 5.0 m.2. The button to release the first pcie slot is a great quality of life feature. The board has minimal but tasteful rgb on the io cover. Q-leds for troubleshooting errors. My post time is 30 seconds, not great but not bad compared to other am5 boards. The bios is feature packed. Initially I used corsair ddr5 non-expo ram and had all kinds of problems. Thankfully memory express let me exchange this ram for a set of kingston ddr5 expo ram that was on the motherboards qvl and its been flawless ever since. Got it on sale.

Weaknesses:

Price. But that's everything these days.

Additional Comments:

Everything you need and nothing you don't.
