Strengths:
Good specs.
Weaknesses:
I had many problems, and I think this motherboard was the cause.
The first motherboard was DOA. THANK YOU to MemoryExpress for checking the MB before I left with it.
The MB did not work with the 64GB RAM kit, from the ASUS approved RAM list for this MB. It worked only at the base 4800 MHz speed, not the rated 5200. I used the standard DOCP; I did not try to customize or change RAM overclock settings. 32GB kit worked.
The Asus Windows ArmouryCrate software reads CPU temp wrong and forces the fans to 100% when the computer is idle.
By default the MB is set to not work with two monitors off the iGPU.
The manual is unhelpful. It does not explain what settings mean; you need to use their online help.
The MB worked with hardware RAID, but when I tried to add an additional HDD, then Windows would no longer boot. After I reverted to non-RAID and reinstalled Windows, Windows started crashing for no reason.
I did not have time remaining to troubleshoot the Windows crashes, so I returned the MB.
Additional Comments:
In the half-dozen computers I have built, I never had this many problems with a motherboard.
