It's fine for a low to medium power CPU, but overpriced unless on sale

Strengths:

Easily cools any Ryzen 7 5 series and lets them PBO past specs.

Weaknesses:

At regular price it would be in the range of higher end coolers and it's not a high end cooler, it's a stock cooler replacement for processors that still come with boxed coolers or a 5700X Lots of competitors (including at memory express) that are better for cheaper. Old design; Hyper 212 was a champion 15 and even 8 years ago...time to move on probably.

Additional Comments:

Decent on sale for medium heat output CPUs Not intended for i9s (that can exceed 300 watts easily) or even R9 7xxx series; it's just not made for that. If you buy $500 + CPUs get somethign better.

Terrible

Weaknesses:

This cooler is insufficient for i9. The fan mount is essentially a bent paperclip and the fan will occasionally fall off.

Additional Comments:

I replaced it with Supermicro unit and temps went down 8c on idle and 15c with load. I am actually surprised how a simple product can be engineered so poorly.

Awful for installing

Strengths:

None

Weaknesses:

- Has way too many parts - The pins that hold the fan to heat sink fall off easily (and metal pins falling onto your motherboard is exactly what you don't want

Additional Comments:

This was the most difficult component to install in my system. The heating sink was fine but the fan attached to it is attached using these flimsy metal pins. It's the most frustrating thing I've ever installed. The instructions are also unclear and don't make it clear you are supposed to keep the small black pads on the fan. Please don't buy it. Save yourself the pain.
