Amazing Motherboard!

Strengths:

I love my MSI Z690 carbon WIFI motherboard!

Additional Comments:

Has potential

Strengths:

- Has a POST code display in the top right corner. - Lots of connectivity for a Z690 motherboard. It has 10 USB ports on the back! - Strong VRMs with adequate cooling to power a 12900k. - Well designed and easy to use BIOS/UEFI. - Extended PCI-e slot release makes removing the primary GPU easier.

Weaknesses:

- Can't seem to run a DDR5-5200 kit stable with XMP enabled. Hopefully a future BIOS update can resolve this, since the kit is on MSI's QVL for the board. Works fine at 4800MT/s with XMP disabled though. - VGA debug LED stays on when the system is fully booted up. Hopefully a future BIOS update can resolve this as well.

Additional Comments:

Full disclosure: This review is for the MSI Review Rebate Program. Overall I think it's a well designed motherboard. From a hardware perspective everything seems to work pretty well, and the only minor issues with the board are hopefully things that can be resolved with a BIOS update. If a BIOS update does fix the previously mentioned issues, this would be a solid 5/5 from me.
