Incorrect information

Strengths:

It works well enough for Wi-Fi.

Weaknesses:

This router is focused around Wi-Fi, not hardwired cables. This is more evident in the fact that you are locked out of many features unless you perform set up from a phone/tablet using their proprietary software. Direct cable WAN port Input is throttled to 950Mbps, despite claiming it is 3Gbps capable. On top of these major problems, many router features which are standard on other brands are locked behind a paywall subscription on this router.

Additional Comments:

Inferior hardware, paywalled features, and false claims of capabilities = AVOID! I've used a number of TP-Link's products but this experience was enough to steer me clear of all TP-Link products in the future.

Good router but crippled software

Strengths:

fast easy to set up strong signal

Weaknesses:

bundled software is crippled unless you pay another $80 to get the 'premium' features. Which is standard on every other router I have bought in the past. You must pay for a subscription to get the ability to control availability (parental control) and get browsing history.

Additional Comments:

If you don't have kids or don't need parental controls then this router is good. But an $80 dollar year subscription to get those features is over the top. I would have passed on this router had I known that.
