Strengths:
- Minimal appeal with all the necessary cooling solutions
- tonnes of headers
- USB-C front port
- updated WIFI 6E & BT as of 2023
- BIOS is well thought out and easy
- argb headers (if you care about that sort of thing)
Weaknesses:
- not the prettiest motherboard on the market
Additional Comments:
Cannot go wrong with this motherboard in 2023 with MSI updating the wifi and Bluetooth to and AMD WIFI 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. Maxes out a 5900x with no issue. VRM and chipset cooling is more than adequate with good case cooling. 5-star motherboard.

Strengths:
None.
Weaknesses:
Board won't post, finally get into bios with hours of fighting, update bios via USB.. took 3 hours and when it restarted it wouldn't post again. Onboard video doesn't work with display port or hdmi. Maybe with vga but not many modern monitors have vga. Ez debug lights kept going from cpu, ram, vga and boot. Board may be doa.
Additional Comments:
Box says 5000 series ready.. no its not. It won't even post a 3900x out of box. It shouldn't require hours and hours and multiple systems to get a single mobo to post a zen 3 chip that's made for zen 3. 🤷♂️ 🤦♂️ what ever.. picked up at 6pm its now 12 30 and it still isn't posting. Won't recommend.

Strengths:
Great support
Easy to install
Good Bios
Weaknesses:
None so far
Additional Comments:
I built my first gaming pc recently and decided to go with the MSI B550M Pro vdh wifi as I read many positive reviews. I am super impressed with how easy the manual and video qr codes made to to assemble everything hassle free. If in the future I was to upgrade I would most definitely use another MSI product.

Strengths:
- Inexpensive
- WiFi
- Good VRMs for the price
- No frills or RGB nonsense
- BIOS interface layout is good
- flashback features as well as able to flash a BIOS without a CPU installed.
Weaknesses:
- Terrible BIOS for Zen 3 support
- Board was defective
Additional Comments:
I bought this board based on the Hardware Unboxed review of various affordable B550 motherboards https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qf0-JoQLeJo&t=13m as I would be pairing it with a 5800x or 5900x and did not plan on overclocking at all, so it seemed like it would be fine. I bought this board when it went on sale for only $120. A steal, or so I thought.
It came with a BIOS that supported Zen 3 out of the box, but upon a fresh installation of Windows 10 the system was constantly black-screen crashing and/or BSOD. I tried 3 different kits of memory, and 2 different power supplies. I tried running the memory at its default settings as well as the XMP profile, with 1 stick or 2, in every available DIMM slot. All of which made no difference whatsoever. The system was constantly crashing.
Either the motherboard itself is defective, or their BIOS software is defective/buggy and does not support Ryzen 5000 properly.
I contacted Memory Express regarding this issue who agreed to refund the purchase upon receiving the motherboard back. They sent me a prepaid postage and I'm currently waiting for my refund.

Strengths:
Solid reviews: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qf0-JoQLeJo
That laugh at 13:20 was pretty much what sold me.
Weaknesses:
I wish it had just one more RGB fan header.
Additional Comments:
MemEx had them in stock when I needed them. (Bought 2.) I am very pleased with my purchase.
