Pioneer Top Quality

Strengths:

This thing is luxury. It is sleek, quiet and deadly. At the first push of the eject button, you know its a winner. Black, brushed metal front. Discreet blue button on front, just the right brightness. Looks great! My drive was 1.02 firmware, and I was able to rip 4K discs as soon as I hooked it up, no flashing was required.

Weaknesses:

Wasn't cheap...but I don't regret the buy at all!!

Additional Comments:

Slightly longer than other drives, I put mine into Vantec DX2 enclosure. And it fit perfect. I also have an ASUS drive to burn 4K, which is faster than this drive. But very much noisier! The Pioneer is slower to burn, but results are 100% so far. No disc has caused a stutter. It is also whisper quite while its working, from 6' away I cant even tell its running to be honest. Would recommend to anyone who plans on ripping a bunch of discs! Pleasure to use this device. Pinnacle of optical drives most likely!
