Strengths:
One of the cheapest z690 motherboards, good if you only have simple requirements.
Many USB 3.0 ports, and capability for expansion.
Weaknesses:
PCIe 5.0 port does not work properly, did not allow GPU to be identified and function properly.
Can be hard to identify where to plug in what.
Additional Comments:
Very decent board that fits all needs with many usb ports. Rating would be much better if the PCIe 5.0 port was working, as well as the fact that there was no identification by the board itself that it wasn't functioning properly; it required my own troubleshooting to be able to figure that out.

Strengths:
Compared to some other brands, MSI includes a 2.5Gb LAN, even though I'm using PCI-E WiFi but this high-speed LAN port would give me some future-proof upgrade options.
And the price is definitely the lowest of Z690-P, but the quality maintains at a high level.
Weaknesses:
The BIOS Interface isn't good enough compared to ASUS. It doesn't look Pro and the total UI looks quite old-fashioned.
If it can be one or two more m.2 ports, I'll be happier.
Additional Comments:
Pretty much is the best choice at this price, it gives me enough options to expand the hardware in the future and PCI-e 5.0 ready.

Strengths:
- Best value motherboard for 12th gen right now.
- The I/O is great and the VRM are solid.
Weaknesses:
- Minimal color (depends of ppreference)
- Better download network drivers (ethernew/wifi did not work until I updated the drivers.)
Additional Comments:
Better valued motherboard as of this review and has some great features.

Additional Comments:
Z690 Boards have proven to be hit or miss for some.
In my case, this specific board has been solid and reliable for hours upon hours of stress testing, bench marking, and once validated, workstation work.
Specifically of interest is that, tho not available at launch, MSI released a BIOS to enable AVX-512 on the K series CPU's.
For Linux performance has been nothing short of stellar minus some IOMMU grouping being less ideal.
Specific to pairing with the 12700k in AVXX512 mode, I recommend changing the long duration boost time to 128s and limiting power to 180w, and changing the long duration boost to 200w. performance overhead is negligible (between 3 and 5%) for a lowering of temps by ~10C, meaning boost is active longer and overall compute performance is up overall
