Strengths:
Got this cable to extend the connection of a DSLR to laptop. Works Great. Got another to extend PS3 cable when recharging the controllers battery. Works well in both cases.
Weaknesses:
It won't make up for underpowered USB ports. If you've got low power USB slots this cable probably won't let you put a printer or external hard drive 5 meters away. But that's really not the cables fault.
Additional Comments:
It works... if you need one go buy it.

Strengths:
Extends USB cable length
Easy to install, no drivers
Easy to install, no drivers
Weaknesses:
Can be finnicky. If you have weak voltage out your USB port (as many laptops and some older computers do) it's not going to work well. I purchased one of these for work to connect a computer to a printer 6m away. It worked poorly with a 6-yr-old P4 but worked well with a newer computer.
Additional Comments:
Does as well as any extender is going to do. The limitation is going to be your USB port.

Strengths:
None.
Weaknesses:
Does not work with my Epson photo printer.
Additional Comments:
All documents would start to print, then would stop printing and cause the printer to go haywire. Took this cable out and used a normal cable without the active extension module, and printer works now.
