Strengths:
It works well on the 2.4ghz band at speeds below 100mbps
Weaknesses:
Anything over 100mbps on the 5ghz band or a wired connection forces the router to try and draw more power than the 12v1.5A power adapter can put out, and so the router shuts off, and restarts. Roughly every, 15seconds. So, be ware that NO you cannot practially use this router for internet speeds beyond 100mbps. I have gone through every power setting possible and can get, SOME stability with the 2.4ghz band tuned totally off (sucks for my printer...) and the 5ghz band set to medium power, i "can" download at 350mbps for almost 5 minuets before i get power offs again.
Random power offs, even when youre not doing much, streaming youtube, or netflix, its just too much for this router to handel. Iv gone so far as to roll back drivers, to no avail. You just get to deal with equipment self restarting
I even replaced the power adapter with a 12v 2.5A adapter just encase the existing adapter was the problem, and it did nothing to aleviate the problem.
Additional Comments:
Simply put, dont bother. This item should not be sold by reputable retailers, it simply does not function.

Strengths:
Memory Express stepped up!
Weaknesses:
Had issues with the Wifi throttling down and the wired connections losing signal after about 3 weeks of use. I upgraded the firmware but it did not improve at all. I called DLINK support had me make settings changes to 100MBPS on the WAN port instead of auto-negotiate and turn of Smart Wifi so i would see the dual band. No change...it did not improve...got a case number...called back 3 weeks later and D-link was even less helpful. I would not recommend this model.
Additional Comments:
TLDR bought router to replace my old TP-Link after it crated and the D-link sucked
