The size is ok but that's pretty much it.

Strengths:

Was on sale for 29.99$ The price was good given the capacity. The capacity is good given the price I paid.

Weaknesses:

The speed is abysmal. It's slower than some USB 2.0 I have. They're lying when they say it's USB 3.0 Gen1. The speed is especially bad if you're transferring a lot of very small files at once.

Additional Comments:

If you're just looking for a large backup thumb drive and speed isn't an issue go ahead. If you're looking to transfer stuff rather quickly look elsewhere. There are several other options around 50$ CAN that should perform a lot better than this thing. I still gave it 3 stars for the price to capacity value.

So Slow It Hurts. USB 3.1 Is A Lie.

Strengths:

It looks nice? Build quality feels good

Weaknesses:

Slower than molasses on a cold winter day.

Additional Comments:

Seriously. This thing is comically slow. The product description says "entry level USB 3.1". Come on, just call it what it is. It's a USB 2.0 drive. Max Write 14 MB/s (but consistently < 10 MB/s) Max Read 24 MB/s Maybe I'll find a use for it... but it certainly wont do what I bought it for.
