Gets too hot to handle

Strengths:

Small size gives it a great low profile on the side of your lap top.

Weaknesses:

Runs extremely hot to the touch even with light use (e.g. transferring a small number of files)

Additional Comments:

Purchased product to storing work files and photos. Loved the small profile and it seemed to review well, however the drive gets extremely hot to the touch when in use. So hot that it is difficult to hold in your fingers. Even more disappointing was that it got this hot with just light use. I can't imagine how hot it would get with heavy use. Disappointing. Will be returning it.

Best USB Key to Buy in 2020. Supports USB-C and USB-A 3.1

Strengths:

I've owned two of these USB keys for almost two months, and after heavy use (multiple reads/writes on them across macOS and Linux), I can safely say this model of the USB key is the best I've owned in recent memory.

Weaknesses:

None.

Additional Comments:

The size (64GB) means I don't have to worry about OS size when creating a boot USB key for installing an OS or using it as a Linux live CD. The read/write speeds are extremely fast - the USB key isn't the bottleneck anymore. Finally, this USB key supports both USB-C and USB-A (3.1). This was important for me when I was buying them. I have a 2018 MBP that only supports USB-C keys, and I have Thinkpad laptops, phones, and desktop PCs that only have USB 3.0. Having this cross-platform compatibility without having to rely on dongles was a huge time saver for me. At the price this item is listed at, the capacity (64GB), and that the item supports both USB-C/USB-A, I can't strongly recommend this product enough to anyone that is looking to buy a USB key.
