Solid ultrawide

Strengths of the product

If you want a 3440x1440, 144hz display this is great. Colour is great, response if good for fps. Used on BFV, Apex and Battlefront 2.

Weaknesses of the product

Additional Comments

1. I came from a TN, 2560x1440 at 144hz. This panel seems as fast while playing fps games. 2. Contrast is good but nothing special. Has not impacted my game play. 3. Colour and clarity of ips has made it much easier to spot enemies with fps. 4. Ultrawide is fun but I'd recommend 240hz, 16:9 for people who are very competitive. Still great for fps just not pro. 5. I run an 8700k (not OC), 2080 (OC) and I get between 125-144hz on BFV and Apex on med/high/ultra mix settings. If you want all high/ultra, you'll need to use 2080 TI or really over clock you're gear. If you have a 2560x1440 I'd say this isn't worth the upgrading. But if you have 1080 setup or want an ultrawide monitor, this is a great monitor. Note: got this on sale, at the lowest price so far.

Worth Every Cent! ... after updates.

Additional Comments

At first I thought my monitor was a dud since it flickered in full screen or on the bios, I updated the on-board software and boom, no issues!. So if you have issues with the monitor out of the box simply download LG's On screen Display application, make sure you've hooked up the USB, launch the software and in the menu there is an option to update the monitor. It will then use the USB to update the firmware/on board software for you. Super quick and easy to do.
