Crap setup

Weaknesses:

Worst setup I've ever experienced in a printer. Must use wired or USB to setup. So 1997....

Additional Comments:

I'd avoid unless this is the only stock you can find as I'm sure it'll only last a few months like ever other printer...

Mr.

Strengths:

None

Additional Comments:

Worst printer I ever bought. Consistently fails to print or connect wirelessly. Should be removed from all stores.

It's a laser printer, that prints

Strengths:

Relatively small size, for a laser printer. Good for small-volume use cases, should be fine if you're not into printing tons of pages every day.

Weaknesses:

Missing USB port too, plus USB stick into? (for firmware updates) I don't think I've missed it, there's a USB connectivity port (USB-B), but no USB-A port to plug a drive into. All the instructions I found for updating this printer refer to using a stick, but there is no place for it! There is a cutout cover for it, next to the ethernet and USB-B ports, but no port. Also, the wifi connectivity is 2.4GHz only, no support for 5GHz.

Additional Comments:

The initial setup was a snap. Printed instruction sheet tells you step by step how to remove all the security tapes and get the cartridge and imaging unit ready. Both wired and wireless networking worked without issues right out of the box. I have not tried USB connectivity. Windows 10 found the printer immediately, and installed the drivers with no trouble. This seems like it will be a fine printer for the odd page I have to print out now and then. Just have to remember to jiggle printer cartridge after prolonged non-use periods. I've always found laser printers superior, and I am happy to have one again in my house.

Computer repair tech

Strengths:

Unlike Someone gave 1-star based on setting it up, Setting up was a Charm, not to mention that I do MAC address filtering, scrolling through the tiny device display, I was able to locate the MAC address, added that to router and WOW, once the drivers were installed on the PCs, they were able to see the printer on the network. Not to mention that I was looking for the printer that will fit into my printer table, I had to make a hole on the side for the exhaust fan, other than that, amazing. I did not even need the driver CD for Win 10, it saw it and installed it. Win 7 needed the drivers to be installed. This printer is set up both wired and wireless network.

Weaknesses:

None

Additional Comments:

Perfect printer I was looking for, my old Samsung ML-2525W died, this fit perfectly, installation was not an issue for both wired and wireless network.

WIFI never works

Strengths:

None

Weaknesses:

Wifi does not work

Additional Comments:

Tried multiple times to get this printer to printer over wifi and never got it to work. The software is also very slow in the phone app as well.
