5 months old and left button kaput

Strengths:

Cheap less than $50 mouse.

Weaknesses:

This is my second Harpoon mouse and the second time this issue has happened. My first mouse lasted maybe 2 years before the left click wore out but this time, 5 months. I only purchased it because it was on sale (30 bucks). There are much better products for this price point of 30 ~ 50 bucks. Buyer beware.

Additional Comments:

Not built for any serious gaming. Don't try to play Diablo 4 with this.

No in-body DPI save

Strengths:

Lightweight. Good tracking. Decent scroll wheel for bhops. Good DPI range. Left click and right click are crisp. I like the matte finish. Can customize RGB effects, something I never use Can create your own macro to the side buttons, something I no longer use

Weaknesses:

A gaming mouse in 2020 and you can't even save the dpi setting to the mouse. Very disappointing. You have to install Corsair iCUE software to adjust DPI. And you have to have the program running in the background to have your personalized DPI working. It is 2020, write the DPI to the mouse already. FFS. You can forgo the software and use the default DPI setting; 800, 1500, 3000, 6000, 9000 stepping. To be fair most people will just use 800 dpi. The software doesn't allow you adjust polling rate. The side buttons are poorly positioned. Too small and backward. Hard to use them with larger hands. The main two buttons (left & right click) are crisp, using good quality switches,. Side button use heavy switches. I can't use them in game for voice shortcut or +use because every time I click them the mouse moves slightly and mess up my crosshair placement ever so slightly. If Corsair is going cheap out on the side switches, at least make them large and better positioned to compensate.

Additional Comments:

They got most part of the mouse right. Good sensor. Good switches for the two main buttons. Decent scroll wheel. Feels durable and well put together. It is everything else that just falls apart. And another thing is the reported native sensor DPI is 3500. Which is not part of the default stepping. So if you really want the absolute most accurate tracking, you have to install the software and set to 3500 DPI. It is all these little flaws together that makes it hard for me to love this mouse.

Solid, no issues.

Strengths:

-Comfortable mouse for having fairly small hands. -iCUE software great for RGB

Weaknesses:

-It would've been nice to have a braided cable. -iCUE software (its occasionally buggy, and another program to download.)

Additional Comments:

It was one of my most comfortable mice. Much recommend. I never had any issues. I did eventually get the wireless version, and this one made me a fair bit happier.
