Tech

Strengths:

Price (you get what you pay for!) lasted 8 months

Weaknesses:

Durability, dependability, it only lasted less than 8 months, will not defrag, check disk failed: Stage 4: Looking for bad clusters in user file data ... A disk read error occurredc000000e The disk does not have enough space to replace bad clusters

Additional Comments:

You get what you pay for, but something more dependable like Crucial, Samsung ....

7200 RPM replacement

Strengths:

Price Compatibility Aesthetics

Weaknesses:

None.

Additional Comments:

Upgraded an MS Gaming laptop GE70 series from a 7200 RPM mechanical drive with this one and cloned it using the Corsair cloning kit (MX45733). Stopwatch testing took me from 24 seconds boot-up time to just a little over 12 seconds. Honestly did not think that it would be so drastic given that there was already a pretty fast drive in there, of course Windows updates and installing anything is blazing fast. This is the second time I bought a drive from this series, the other one was of less capacity but that does not matter. I will continue to buy these especially when they go on sale as this one was.

Inexpensive Upgrade

Strengths:

Easy to install Free Acronis drive cloning software Fast for the price

Weaknesses:

None that I can tell so far

Additional Comments:

This was a good purchase. Something to buy when you want to update an older PC. I did just this, and it's almost like a brand new computer. Very pleased with the price for an SSD. I definitely recommend anyone to purchase this if they want to revitalize their PC/laptop that just needed a bit of a boost.

I've bought a handful of these badboi's

Strengths:

I'm trying to be annoying with my title. Sorry. Every time I start a video project with a company, I buy a 500 GB SSD that I swap out of a USB 3.0 dock (that used to be a Seagate dock for a HDD 10 or so years ago. It's great) and work exclusively on that hard drive for the duration of that project. 500 GB, even if shooting in V-LOG is enough usually. Once or twice I get burned, but that's my fault, I guess. I imagine that other SSD's would be faster, but if you're considering cost, these guys are totes fine and none of them have ever been an issue for this bad boi.

Weaknesses:

I wish the 1 GB version was cheaper.

Additional Comments:

I wish the 1 GB version was cheaper or went on sale.
