Fast but HOT! Worst cooling I've ever seen on a GPU in my life

Strengths of the product

Factory speeds are great, and boots up over 1930MHz and at least +550 MHz on the RAM with MSI Afterburner.

Weaknesses of the product

Practically impossible to keep from thermal throttling. I have a very well-cooled mid-tower case, including a variety of 140mm and 200mm fans, and forced 100% duty cycle on the GPU fans. Even at 100% duty cycle on all system fans I can't keep this card from hitting 87C (the throttle point with Afterburner running) and bouncing around between 1550 - 1800 MHz after about 5 mins of load, even with my side panel off.

Additional Comments

I really can't recommend this card unless you get it on a wicked sale. It's not awful but performance is basically guaranteed to be thermal-limited regardless of your case cooling unless you're on an open test bench. As said, even with my side panel off this card thermal throttles after about 5 mins.

Great gaming performance but meh cooling.

Strengths of the product

Performs really well. I get about 1,900Mhz consistently at full load which is higher than the advertised clock speed. Solid FPS performance in games (Battlefield V performs with 100 fps average at 1080p)

Weaknesses of the product

A rattling, coil whine when revving up or down between idle and load. Not the quietest GPU. Thermals hit 83° C easily when gaming. Not terrible (RTX series cards apparently run hotter in general) but not great either.

Additional Comments

Great performance, not the greatest cooling.

You get what you pay for

Strengths of the product

-cheaper of 2060 models and closest to msrp (at time of writing) -has a 0rpm mode at low temps so that card stays silent when not doing gpu intensive tasks -identical performance to a more expensive variant at stock clock speeds.

Weaknesses of the product

-this card has a poor cooling solution on it and despite being a 60 series card this runs much hotter than other models -anything less than the best of airflow in a case will have this card easily hitting 80c -however with good airflow it stays below 75c.

Additional Comments

I would make sure your pc case has really good airflow or else at look at other models with better cooling solutions.
