Strengths:
-parallax is virtually non-existent (space between pen tip and where the line draws)
-excellent activation pressure
-super responsive
-paperfeel surface that doesn't feel like it wears your nibs out
-built in stand with replacement nibs
-pen is comfortable to use
-screen is quite large
- no shortcut buttons for a minimalist experience which is replaced by quick shortcuts you can program
Weaknesses:
-not very portable
-has a lot of wires to manage (HDMI, power and usb)
-The large screen takes a lot of desk real estate
-very pricey
-bulky
-stand only goes to one height
-no shortcut buttons might be something left to be desired with those liking haptic feedback
-button on pen is super easy to accidentally press when drawing
-colors are a bit on the dim side
Additional Comments:
The Wacom Cintiq is a very solid tablet if you want to get serious about graphic design and drawing. With its responsive drawing experience drawing feels as natural as pen and paper.
But is not a device that you can move around freely with ease as it is bulky, requires multiple cable hookups and takes a lot of space real estate due to its 16" display so it is best kept for home base operations.
It's price point may be a turn off for some but the build quality is something to be desired.
