Incredibly happy with the Aorus AD27QD after returning 2 Asus PG279Q monitors due to screen issues.

Strengths of the product

-High refresh rate -Low lag and measured response time (Overdrive setting - speed) -My panel had ZERO back light bleed and IPS glow -The bezel is almost non-existent -The stand is mostly metal. -Pre-calibration picture colour was decent, post-calibration is amazing.

Weaknesses of the product

-Blur reduction is a bit on the weak side, however, Gigabyte is making user-updatable firmwares available on this model so we just may see some updates for it. -Contrast ratio is mediocre without calibration. After a calibration it performed very good. -HDR400 is not exactly a meaningful level for HDR, if you are looking for a monitor specifically for that feature you may need to look at more expensive displays.

Additional Comments

Like the title reads, I returned 2x Asus PG279Q displays before deciding not to gamble anymore and give something else a shot. I was very pleased when I plugged this display in and calibrated it. I have to say Gigabyte nailed it with this display, this is a gorgeous monitor.

Solid Monitor

Strengths of the product

Solid stats for the price. Colours look good, limited / no backlight bleed (or at least it doesn't bother me), super fast response (the 1ms stat is misleading but it is still really good)

Weaknesses of the product

HDR is OK, nothing all that mind blowing. I have had 1 game experience constant screen tearing during cut scenes (using a GTX 1070), but I suspect I just need to massage the freesync compatible settings a bit or wait for a drive update. I'm calling it a software error at this point because it is ONLY one game, and ONLY during cutscenes.

Additional Comments

Extremely happy with the monitor. Found a number of good reviews on youtube decided to run with this one. It is an upgrade from my old Dell ultrasharp 2407 (built in 2008) so I'm pretty sure any monitor would have been a solid upgrade, but this one has me quite happy.

Best monitor PERIOD

Strengths of the product

-Colour accuracy -blacks are fineeee -G-sync compatible (144Hz refresh!) -sturdy stand with RGB in monitor & STAND! -low amount of IPS "glow" -price to performance -fast response time -low input lag -great OSD with a little joystick -too many more to list! Just buy it and you WON'T be dissapointed!

Weaknesses of the product

-not completly bezel-less -HDR 400 only

Additional Comments

Best monitor I've ever owned. This is a gamer's delight - all from Gigabyte too!
