Strengths of the product

I've owned the camera for a few months now. it does exactly what I want a dashcam to do. it works fine! Not sure why folks are salty... I'm totally happy with it. Vid quality is good in bright daylight. Nighttime it's passable, but not the best, but what do you expect??? for a sale price, I'd recommend it!

Weaknesses of the product

Additional Comments

buy it!

About as lousy as it gets, but still better than nothing

Strengths of the product

It records (most of the time)

Weaknesses of the product

LOUSY video quality (don't bother with the 1080p setting) Glitchy display sometimes showing a Solarized or Posterized image Bump/Shock/G-sensor is totally useless Haven't found a way to watch footage on the cam itself.

Additional Comments

Bought two of these really cheap during boxing week at MX. I figured it couldn't be THAT bad, but it's about as close as you can get. The video quality is quite terrible. Only under very ideal conditions (i.e. deeply overcast daylight) can you read license plates. I've resorted to reading out the plate number out loud so it at least records it in voice. Sometimes the display glitches and is either solarized or posterized. I haven't verified whether the videos are also solarized/posterized, but sometimes the display totally is. The bump/g-sensor is useless. Even on it's lowest sensitivity setting, every little bump on the road will trigger it and it will lock the current video file. In no time, your entire SD card will be filled with locked video files that cannot be deleted, so there is no room left to record new footage. You have to turn it completely off to make your camera work without constantly formatting the SD card. During our Canadian winters, when it's really cold, sometimes the cam just won't power on at all. And finally, for the life of me, I CANNOT find a way to WATCH the footage on the camera itself! So if you are in an accident, you'll have to take the SD card out and put it into another device to watch the videos. Am I completely unsatisfied? Well, no. Like I said, this is still a LOT better than getting into an accident with NO dash cam. When I DO get into an incident, I will be very glad I have this dash cam, however lousy it is.

Quality lower than it should be

Strengths of the product

cheap price, small size

Weaknesses of the product

Camera take video on maximum 1280x720 and after create it (interpolate) to 1920x1080 Actually it is not full HD !!! It just HD quality. Dynamic range low and if sunny weather licence plates cannot be recognized. Any modern smartphone can take better pictures.

Additional Comments

Just for basic video recording.

It's Fine

Strengths of the product

This camera does what it needs to. It turns on with the car, it records without a fuss, then it turns off when you leave. An 8gb card can loop around a half hour of video. The quality of the video is fine. You won't be making YouTube videos with this, but in daylight licence plates are readble and the detail are sufficient.

Weaknesses of the product

I find the camera adequate at night in the city as well, but spotty on dark road.

Additional Comments

The body is a little bit dated and the USB is a bit tight, requiring a right angle cable, but other then that it's solid.
