Beware that the photos and product title/description do not match the actual product & model #.
I did a bit of research and saw some good reviews on the sandisk extreme 3.0 64gb drive- this site popped up and seemed like a decent price
When I went to pick up in store, I was brought a sandisk extreme go 3.1 64gb drive. I mentioned it was not the exact same model but was told it was the same thing just newer version. OK, so took it and went home.
Got home and double checked. No these are NOT the same. The newer models are now the extreme GO and extreme PRO. the extreme GO 3.1 underperforms compared to the older extreme 3.0. Even the advertised transfer speeds on this site are higher than what’s on the box. The only thing that matches is the part # in small font in the top right of the screen.
I guess I’ll check the part number next time but seriously ME don’t be lazy and update the site properly, not just the part #. Huge waste of my time
Official Reply from Memory Express:
Manufacturers often update or change their products. Most times they introduce improvements or cost savings. This time without telling us, it seems that Sandisk changed the model in anticipation of a higher level model by reducing the performance.
We apologise for any discomfort this may have caused you Jon, and the rest of our Customers.
Memory Express has updated this product's web page on our site to match the new name and performance levels with your assistance.
