Headset

Strengths:

Comfy headset just be mindful to follow the steps listed in the Weakness section below if you are experiencing those issues.

Weaknesses:

I had disconnecting issues with my headset to the computer . Steel Series article will say to reset the headset behind the left ear cup with a pin . If after that it does work. Go to the SteelSeries Engine under power options and select never. The disconnect issues will go away. This issue happens when it is either plugged in or wireless mode. I also had my headset replace as well through MemX .

Additional Comments:

Overall 4/5 headset. Only placing this high due to the high turnaround time Memx took with the replacement.

Want to love it but doesn't work on a big head.

Strengths:

Drivers are very good. Overall build quality seems very good. Microphone is good (not great). Sound is immersive and really clear.

Weaknesses:

May not work on a big head.

Additional Comments:

Want to love this headset, great features, good build quality. Unfortunately, I have a big head and this doesn't fit me as well as my old Hyperx Cloud II (wired) set. It feels too tight and is pulling on my ears. Wanted to return it but can't return it due to covid. So I am a little frustrated that I can't return the product. If it fit me better I would rate it a 5/5 product.

Good Wireless Headset

Strengths:

Wireless re-tractable mic Good sound Decent battery life I can be wireless to my computer, then daisy chain another headset from mine by cord, works well when watching movies and you don't want to use speakers.

Weaknesses:

At the edge of the wireless range it'll kinda beep here and there.. and then cut in and out depending which side is closest to the receiver. Initially it was fine, but I've noticed as of late even right after charging when I turn it on, the red light will flash like the battery is dead.. it'll still work for hours though.

Additional Comments:

I had the predecessor the H series, which is the one with the dock and swap-able batteries, so the Arctis Pro basically. Had that one for years and years before the head band broke. I've had this set for probably close to a year. I miss the batteries rather than being tethered if i run out of juice. The SteelSeries Siberia's at work finally had the head band let go after almost 12 years, so now I'm contemplating Arctic 1 or 7 for there too. I'd give 5 stars, but the battery indicator quirk forces me not to.

Worst Experience

Strengths:

Great design, high quality build. Besides that, nothing else is good about this headset.

Weaknesses:

The headset worked fine for about 6 months. After 6 months it started lagging and disconnecting once in a while. The problem escalated to the point when it was lagging and reconnecting every 5 minutes. It was very uncomfortable to play so I contacted the support team at SteelSeries. Instead of investigating the problem and gathering more details from me, they just simply sent me a new pair. 2 months later. Same problem. Started with few lags and disconnects a week up to non stop reconnecting loops. Sent them another support ticket. Waiting for a new pair again. They make you destroy the existing headset and send them pictures of it destroyed. It takes then about 2 weeks to send a new pair, so be prepared to play without a headset for 2 weeks.

Additional Comments:

A little good. Lots of bad.

All-around solid headphones!

Strengths:

Audio quality is superb. Supports Dolby 7.1 surround. Over-ear cup design, with very comfortable cup cushions and auto-adjustable head band. Game and chat dial is well implemented. Lets you reduce game audio and increase chat audio, and vice versa. Battery life is great, and operating range is great. Physical mute toggle for microphone. Microphone is non-removable and slides into the left headphone cup for storage. Includes line in and line out on the USB transceiver. Convenient for audio from other sources, like a nintendo switch. Headphones automatically power off if no audio is passed after 30 mins, to conserve battery life.

Weaknesses:

Charging port is micro USB. I'd prefer USB type C. Not an issue at all, just personal preference.

Additional Comments:

Probably the best wireless headphones on the market. They're priced well and deliver great audio quality. If you're on the fence on switching to wireless headphones, these were able to get me to switch. Absolutely worth the buy!
