-Cheap. -1 included fan w/red LED. -Nice esthetic w/cool swooped slit for intake air, LED from fan shines through.
-Narrow, only space for 150mm max height air cooler, which doesn't leave a lot of options. -Hard drive cage needs to be removed if all three fan slots are to be populated on the front. No alternative mounting positions for the cage, and it's the only place to mount 3.5" drives. Had they mounted it back only 1/4" there would have been room for another fan with the cage in place, which would provide at least partial air flow through the cage and over the drives. -While the front panel swoop looks cool, it doesn't provide the best air flow. -Acrylic side panel scratches easily. -Very tight behind the mother board tray for cable management.
Buy this case if you want something cheap, that looks decent, and you don't plan on using a tall tower cooler for your CPU or have any 3.5" drives. Would be decent for a build with an AIO cooler as the single included fan could be repositioned to the rear exhaust and your AIO fans would double as intake. (AIO mounting options are 120mm rear, 240mm front w/hard drive cage, 360mm front w/o hard drive cage.) The value of this case quickly disappears once you start buying additional case fans. I ended up changing out to a nicer case only two months after my initial build. All that being said, for small budget builds that don't require a lot of air flow, it's a good option.

-low price -clear side panel -inbuilt fan works well
-little room for cable management -horrible airflow -high spec hardware overheats -only one 120mm fan can fit in the front with panel on despite spots for 3 120mm fans, with the panel off you can stagger them
the case works well for low to mid spec hardware, with the lower amount of heat they generate it allows them to thrive inside of this box. however any hardware better then a ryzen 5 or rx 590 will simple overheat with the front panel on, removing the front panel almost instantly fixes this however. but should one really need to do this? i also recommend buying a 2-3 more fans, but once again due to the fact that only 1 fan can fit onto the front of the case with the front panel on its simply insufficient for high end hardware the case works, but shouldn't be used for any high spec hardware, and dont expect any good cable management features too

Good case with generous slots for cable management. Air flow is alright, easy remove and access hard drive trays make for a nice touch for new builders. Acrylic side panel is generous for looks.
Acrylic side panel is somewhat darker than I thought it would be, the lack of a front panel dust filter means air flow is alright but there will be dust build up no matter how you set up the cases air intake. The lack of slot covers for your cables means cable management is present but not as aesthetically pleasing as it could be since cables can be seen being run through the slots.
Overall the Carbide Spec 05 is a simple case, and is more of a budget option that doesn't sacrifice too much on looks while still providing decent air flow for heavy tasks. Although the lack of a dust filter, and slots for cable runs means the case will require more attention for cleaning and cable management the case itself is alright and good for those seeking a budget build without skimping on overall looks.

Great looking case with decent cable management. I love the glass panel. A decent amount of room to move stuff around or work inside of the case. Airflow is good and has magnetic dust filters on the top and bottom of the case. Makes it super easy to clean. Red light in the front panel of the case looks fairly cool. Of course the price point is really good. Really good value and bang for your buck.
Little bit tight behind the motherboard plate for cable management but as long as you aren't running too many cables you should be fine. Front light is red only, unless you spend more and get one of the RGB models. Really these are minor inconveniences considering the value.
Picked this up a few weeks back to build my wife a new gaming tower as an anniversary gift. I let her choose a tower she liked but surprised her with a whole new build. I will be purchasing the same case to build a new tower for a friend as well as an upgrade model for a new gen 3 Ryzen build that I have for myself.

The case is great with 4 hard drive slots, plenty of cable management capability, with 5 fan slots
The case was missing an hdd led cord but it wasn't neccesary for the pc to work. the real problem is where the headphone port on the front IO would only give audio in one (ear) muff. i tried new drivers updated old ones cleaned it but only occasionally it would work in both (again ear) muffs. tried many different headsets but wouldn't work.
I would recomend but beware of what might happen
