Not sure what people here mean by loud, I just copied 1.4 Terabytes on to it and could hardly hear it.
So far so good, I’ve alway had good experience with western digital black drives, though recently had a
blue passport drive quick working.

Rock solid reliability,
I have owned many WD blacks over the course of the last decade and one has never failed me.
I can barely hear it at all, I think people need to stop putting their ear up to the drive when it is operating, or get a better more robust case that will dampen small vibrations.
I can barely tell it is even running, ignore the noise complaints.

A bit on the noisy side. Not crazy but it's there.

They are not wrong it is loud. Not crazy loud, not loud enough to drown out audio or spun up fans, but a noticeable buzz.
