This GIGABYTE Socket LGA-1151 v2 Motherboard is initially only compatible with 8th Gen Intel® Core™ Series, Pentium Gold G5xxx Series and Celeron G49xx Series Processors1, offering the highest Intel® CPU performance to consumers.
Older Socket LGA-1151 Processors are unfortunately not pin compatible with this new Motherboard, as per Intel®; due to differences in how each pin is used by the Motherboard. If this Motherboard is used with a 7th Gen and earlier processor, both warranties are void.
