Cost Performance

Weaknesses of the product

Additional Comments

This little chip is quite impressive. It scales well with memory speed. (12% increase in Timespy going from DDR4 2800 to 3200 memory speed.) I hear these sorts of gains are seen across most games as well. I was not able to find an 8 gig kit of ddr4 at memory express acceptable for pairing with this chip. Anything below 2933 Mhz means sacrificing too much performance. With the budget nature of this chip it would be cool to have an 8 gig kit for it. Had to go for 16 gigs to find memory with acceptable speeds and AMD compatible. With that said I am still super happy. Ryzen Master appears to be sorted out and with it the CPU runs and 3.75Ghz and the iGPU at 1,300 Mhz without touching voltage, and on stock cooling. Paired with a decent motherboard it offers a great entry into PC gaming with substantial upgrade paths.

Great CPU and APU

Strengths of the product

Low cost, 4 physical cores and decent Video performance.

Weaknesses of the product

Finding the right Mini-ITX Motherboard at the right price was a challenge. Even now most AMD4 motherboards still do not have the latest BIOS that supports these APU's.

Additional Comments

Building a Mini-ITX system around the 2200G. Bought this on sale, great value. Memory Express did not carry a matching motherboard, had to find this elsewhere, but had issues with BIOS on the motherboard I did purchase. ME helping update BIOS, fantastic service, build runs like a charm.

Great for those waiting for a gpu.

Strengths of the product

Integrated graphics are good enough to play less demanding games like Dota 2 and CS:GO.

Weaknesses of the product

Most motherboards will need an update to be able to use this CPU, but ME offers free quickmounts with BIOS updates if you purchase your CPU and Motherboard together.

Additional Comments

It's a great buy for first time builders planning to wait out the GPU drought.
