Good value

Strengths of the product

Good value, affordable modular PSU. Save the ugly clutter of unused cables without spending ugly money.

Weaknesses of the product

Only $10 more for the 550W. The box is designed to open in a odd way- trips you out when you try to open it like a typical PSU/motherboard box. Though not really a weakness relating to the product itself.

Additional Comments

Affordable PSU if you want to go modular while still keeping the overall PC build bill low, around $500. Makes a huge difference in cable management; your build looks much cleaner. The saved headaches over buying a $5-10 cheaper 450W unit is definitely worthwhile. Used this unit in a few builds for our office staff running i3-8100 CPUs and a couple SSDs.

DANGEROUS FIRE HAZARD SHOULD BE RECALLED ASAP!

Strengths of the product

Cheap (not really a strength)

Weaknesses of the product

This unit blew up after 1 day of light load, similar to that Tom's hardware review. I had to see it with my own eyes.

Additional Comments

Good thing I didn't have this installed in one of my critical systems. This unit famously blew up during a Tom's Hardware review, and I can say that it happened to me too! DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL UNLESS YOU WANT A FIRE HAZARD IN YOUR HOUSE!
