The Perfect Claw-Grip Mouse

Submitted on Saturday, February 03, 2018

Strengths of the product

--I have large hands (20.5 cm) and this mouse is still perfect for claw grip. It is very light and easy to throw around --No rubberized coating, just matte plastic with a rough texture. I find the sides grip my hand without making them sweaty; the shell always feels cool --Lighting is very pleasing --All the buttons are very crisp and feel great --Top notch optical 3366 sensor with very low lift-off distance. An incredibly responsive mouse

Weaknesses of the product

--Scroll wheel has ill-defined steps, can sometimes go further than you meant to --Scroll wheel click is hard to press, difficult to click repeatedly --Sides taper in a way that will not be for everybody --Not good for palm or fingertip styles

Additional Comments

This is the successor to the G9x and it is fantastic. There are some niggling issues (the scroll wheel isn't my favorite, it's a bit too hard to press in and too many steps) but for people who claw grip or prefer smaller mice it's incredible. If you don't claw grip or prefer more ergonomic mice, this will not be for you. Otherwise, it's a very safe bet. Consider G102/G203 instead: half the price, exact same shape, materials, and lighting, just a different sensor (which is indistinguishable)
