Strengths:
Very powerful options.
Weaknesses:
Early manufactured versions of this router seemed to have defects.
Additional Comments:
Out of the box, not a great router, but install the latest Merlin Firmware on it (google it), give it a fresh reset to factory, and then it performs well.
AiMesh is picky to setup. Had to Force Ethernet backhaul mode on just to setup, then turn it off once they connected.
Takes some work to get going, but now I have wifi coverage over whole house, detached garage, and the rest of the yard.

Strengths:
A good amount of software features and internet control, with a decent wi-fi range.
Weaknesses:
Random disconnects and poorly documented features as previously mentioned by another customer. Also the power button broke after a year for no reason, despite rarely being touched. Cannot recommend as this seems to be a common issue with the model.
Additional Comments:
Really like the features and software control, but I cannot recommend this to anyone if they are looking for a lasting router.

Strengths:
Based on what it is supposed to do, it has a lot of features.I really like the wide array of DDNS servers.
Weaknesses:
Most of the features are poorly documented and are suspect in terms of working. For example, this router stalls my Netflix playback. When I go back to an older Netgear router Netflix works just fine. The router used to work OK but after the last security updates - no joy.
Also, the range of the router has declined over time. I originally bought it for it's range. No changes but less range.
The administration logs are completely useless.
Additional Comments:
I really liked the features of this router but it has failed to work with Netflix for some reason. DDNS is a strong feature but my wife doesn't care about that when the Netflix movie stalls because of this router. I will be looking to Netgear

Weaknesses:
Random disconnects happen several times a day. I have updated to the latest firmware with no improvement. The range is no better than my 8 year old router that it replaced.
Additional Comments:
I have never been happy with this router. Good thing I bought over the counter warranty as it is going back soon.

Strengths:
Extremely reliable connections, even with multiple mobile devices connected to multiple bands while moving around a very large house and yard. The system has a way of establishing and keeping a lock on multiple streams.
Weaknesses:
Have had for six months and none apparent so far.
Additional Comments:
Replaced a pair of Cisco / Linksys routers that never seemed capable of keeping a lock on moving targets (and also always seemed to suffer weird outages forcing hard resets or power pulls) this unit is completely night and day! Tossed both lousy and expensive Cisco doorstops in the can and never looked back.
