Strengths of the product

-Fast -Wraith Cooler included

Weaknesses of the product

Additional Comments

Benchmarked the system with CPU-Z, both single thread and multithread were faster than the listed 4.0GHz i7-6700K, but costs half the price. I'd build another system with this CPU in a heartbeat.

Ryzen strikes back

Strengths of the product

- 4 Cores 8 Threads at an affordable price - Great for live streaming, multitasking, and/or content creation as well as general gaming - Easily able to overclock to 3.7 ~ 3.8GHz with a B350 chipset board and the stock cooler, and it's pretty silence given the right fan curve

Weaknesses of the product

- None that I can complain about, I just have a badly binned chip that can't reach a 3.9 GHz at 1.38Vdc which everyone else with a 1500X is reaching.

Additional Comments

The platform has matured well and the 1500X is a great product getting AMD back into the game! Nothing wrong with getting this but if you however have just a little to spend, getting the Ryzen 5 1600 has a better price/performance ratio than the 1500X. Getting the 1500X at a small discount is a big win and you should definitely get it if you aren't looking at the 1600 or 1600X.
