overclocks to 4.0 GHz with ease. runs at 35 ~ 40° C with evga 240 liquid cooler. This thing is a brute. Nothing slows it down.
None so far.
Working with a MSI x370 Carbon Pro Gaming Mobo, Samsung Evo PCIe SSD and 16 GB of DDR4 at 3200Mhz.

AMD is back

Hands down multithreaded champion of 8 core desktop processors, taking on Intel's HEDT platform and beating it even with some handicaps. This processor is a beast and will only get better as the platform matures. Runs 3.7GHz base and 4.1GHz boost with a Noctua NH-D15, runs cool at base clocks.
Developers need to catch up and optimize their engines to take advantage of the power of this chip. Dual channel memory and limited PCIe lanes limits this chip from directly competing head to head with Intel's HEDT 8 core platform, but still beats in many more cases than not. The first processors hit the shelves well before AMD's board partners were ready.
Does not lack in the gaming department compared to my i7-5930k @ 4.5GHz. I run 3440x1440 with 2 GTX 1080 SLI. 5th star will come when platform matures.
