Best all round wireless headset for small heads.

Strengths of the product

Dual Channel usb sound card support for chat and in game sound. There is an adjustable dial on the right headset which allows you to turn the balance between these two sound cards. So if your friends are yelling in your ear during a game. You can turn the dial and quiet them so you can listen for in game sound. If you find the in game game sound is louder than your friends. Just turn the dial the other direction and they get louder. Very cool feature. Sound quality is decent. The decibel range is a bit above average. Battery life is amazing and charging times are short. The mic is pretty clear and clear. With a button to turn the mic on and off instantly The wireless connectivity works really well up to 20ft. Even through some walls. I wouldnt recommend using these to walk around with. The head set is very loose and comfortable fitting. Just not designed to be used In an active setting.

Weaknesses of the product

Doesn't fit all heads. If your head is large by baseball cap standards. This head set might be a bit tight and put pressure on your temples and upper ear. Making them uncomfortable after 20 minutes of wear. A Hyper X headset would be a better choice for head comfort.

Additional Comments

The headset performs well. The software it comes with does the job. Never had any issues with the headset and I've been using it daily 2+ hrs a day for six months.

Strengths of the product

Automatically switch between headphones and speakers when you power them on and off. They also have an input which allows me to use them for my console as well as my PC without changing anything. They sound good, and the mic sounds good. It is very comfortable. Good battery Life

Weaknesses of the product

Some of the controls are a little awkward but I have learned to use them.

Additional Comments

In summary this headset is perfect for my setup.

Great with some flaws

Strengths of the product

- Great audio - Easy setup - Multi-device capability - Comfortable ear pads - Great battery life - "Professional Mic" is decent at best but still great entry level if you have nothing yet.

Weaknesses of the product

- Audio dials for comms/desktop and main volume are in a bad spot that can be adjusted easily. Experienced this most commonly wearing a sweater with hood rubbing against dials - USB wireless connector 3.5mm desktop speaker inputs are inset so if you have a larger speaker cable it does't fit / have to force it.

Additional Comments

Over all great headset. I upgrade from a wired 3.5mm SteelSeries Siberia V2 headset to these and am extremely happy. Have used for over 36+ hours of gaming since purchase and only issues I have faced are with the dials controlling master volume and comm/desktop mix but it's not a deal breaker. My recommendation to Steelseries would to make these dials have a lock feature or make them a click to engage feature to prevent it in the future.

Performance Issues Hold these Headsets Back

Strengths of the product

+ Probably the most comfortable headset on the market + Crisp quality audio + Long battery life + Physical quality is great; not too heavy and feels great to hold and have on the head

Weaknesses of the product

- Software performance issues - Occasional hanging of Windows explorer from these headsets - Connection issues occur after rebooting - Contacted SteelSeries customer support and the agent wasn't very helpful. Three months went by after sending them the logs they wanted and still nothing. - Windows can't recognize headsets after reboot (Needs reset)

Additional Comments

I want to love these headsets and it's too bad that just one problem hold them back because when these headsets are working they are amazing. However, for the asking price, there is absolutely no excuse for these performance issues, and even worse their poor customer service tells me that SS doesn't care. I can't and won't recommend these for someone looking to put this kind of money down. If you're looking for wireless headsets, do not look at the Arctis 7.
