Strengths:
Cheap. Nice and compact.
Weaknesses:
These all eventually fail. Everything on them is cheaply made. The power supply cable will fail due to cheap wiring. The actual devices seem to fail as well. They just stop turning on. I've had two of these that have now failed in one year.
Additional Comments:
Buy any other brand. There's a lot of choose from.

Strengths:
Works as advertised
Easy to use
Simple instructions that work
Comes with everything you need
Website has further useful instructions if needed
Weaknesses:
Small parts - Dropped one of the small cable without realizing it when I open the package and thought the cable did not come in the package. Next morning was ready to contact tech support to complain when my wife found it under the dishwasher.
Additional Comments:
main reason for buying: To access five old hard drives I had laying around from old computers and clean up and destroy the data on these hard drives. (overwrite method)
Tested on five drives of various sizes and technology. Some had been laying around for over 10 years. Worked fined on four of them. The fifth drive was taken out of service because it was intermittent. I could access this drive intermittently with this product as well.

Strengths:
Works with an array of drive and power connections
Weaknesses:
Too many connections if you're only planning on using one type of drive. External power source required.
Additional Comments:
If all you're working with is one type of drive, there's less complicated options out there, those not requiring an external power source. Why have 4 cable connections when you can have one in a different product?
