Purchased for 8 year old Acer Desktop

Strengths:

Very easy install. Worked perfectly as soon as I booted up my computer. Ubuntu recognized the new hardware. Increased speed in general. Great picture for streaming etc.

Weaknesses:

No mount screws provided - luckily I had some on hand.

Additional Comments:

For approximately $60 CDN, this card rejuvenated the old system and is performing well.

so far so good after owning more than a year

Strengths:

I need one to replace my old video adapter integrated with the motherboard. The old video adapter was ATI Radeon HD 4200, which would cause BSOD when 2 monitors were connected, running Windows 10 v1709. The old video adapter was running fine with previous Windows 10 prior to v1709. This new MSI GeForce GT710 solved the driver compatibility problem. Now I can connect to 2 monitors, running Windows 10 v1709 fine. No more BSOD.

Weaknesses:

None so far. I am only using it for business applications.

Additional Comments:

After owning this video card for more than a year, now running Windows 10 v1809, and all good.

Good for a server

Strengths:

- Thin design fits amongst over PCI cards - No fan - No extra power requirements

Weaknesses:

- No DisplayPort port, does not include an adapter. - Nvidia drivers suck on Linux.

Additional Comments:

I needed a video card for a tower server that didn't have a working onboard video output. The GT 710 really fits the bill perfectly for the needs of somebody who just needs a discrete video card.

Well priced

Strengths:

Seems to install OK

Weaknesses:

No screw to fasten card included to attach to chassis. How do you switch between HDMI and VGA?

Additional Comments:

Better Documentation or a tech link would be helpful.

So far so good. See how long will the driver last running Windows 10.

Works great

Strengths:

Picked this up for a linux system that needed a video card. Debian automatically recognized it - no issues whatsoever. It's silent and drives the 1080p display without problems.

Weaknesses:

Not a gaming card.

Additional Comments:

Great for the price.
