Strengths of the product

Wow, mind blown this thing is sick! From the style (which is why i went with this one), to the easy to use menu system, and all the added game modes. The box it come with has lots of padding and put in well, also the monitor is easy to put together, a bonus is that we get the display cables No dead pixels on mine, so happy

Weaknesses of the product

Scaling issue to be expected, most game Ihave play tho Use the 21:9 aspect but some dont, like indie games. Movies wont but i dint get this monitor to watch movies Price might be an issue, but its a lot of tech going into this beast Oh yeah and size you should have a big desk or think about upgrading that, and make sure you have the room in your vehicle (the box is bigger then you think)

Additional Comments

U will need a good gpu set up to run this guy. Working well with my 1080 I was thinking that it might be hard for my eyes to adjust to such a big screen coming from a 24”, but really didnt within a hour of use. Its glorious

Strengths of the product

Monitor base, build quality, picture are all excellent, fast action games are buttery smooth with 100hz refresh and Gsync. haven't used the speakers but its there if you are tight on space. cross hair overlay, i didn't think i would use it but its extremely useful even in games like orcs must die 2 (or any game without a cross hair). Some think its kind of a cheat, oh well, it there and i don't think ill buy another gaming monitor without it

Weaknesses of the product

The price, even on sale its just too much. Cable management routes and covers could of been better

Additional Comments

Price aside, this is the best monitor at the moment until the new 120hz version comes out. you will need at least one GTX 1080 Ti to drive this thing properly; my GTX 980 isnt quite up to snuff for every game on ultra details and resolution. Would i do it all over again? Yep

Great Monitor

Strengths of the product

34" Ultra Wide Screen? yes please :) 1440p @ 100Hz, Gsync. I just love this monitor, every time I sit down to use my computer I find myself smiling a little. I used to use my TV as a monitor and switching to a 27" swift felt too small and for the price just not worth it when compared to this. I had buyers remorse with the 27", and thought I was crazy to buy this one afterwards. Zero regrets, zero buyers remorse. All that being said, I got it on a black friday sale.

Weaknesses of the product

Price is high obviously. The only way i would switch from this is to get a HDR version of it. if aspect ratio is an issue i have found Flawless Widescreen program very helpful for many titles. IPS glow is minor on my monitor, I do have some backlight bleed when doing a bleed test, that said i have never noticed the bleed while playing games. Its a shame that a monitor at this price would suffer from bleed at all, but IPS monitors are known for this.

Additional Comments

Awesome color range vs TN panels. Slight Backlight bleed in 2 corners on my monitor. The stand is solid and you have the ability to turn off the ROG projection image. The monitor looks bad ass! Image quality is fantastic out of the box and has various presets to play with. Enjoy Ultra Wide 1440p; I love it. Giving it a 4 just because of the price, wait for a sale! You will love this! If not, you have 7 days to test it and take it back ;)

Buy it on sale

Strengths of the product

Awesome picture quality, ultrawide 1440p at 100Hz with g-sync on makes for an extremely smooth gaming experience. Only twitchy gamers will be able to really tell the difference in response rate and smoothness between this monitor and a 144Hz TN panel, while completely wasting the TN's in picture quality and color reproduction.

Weaknesses of the product

Price! But you are aware of the high price of these or you wouldn't be reading this. Has noticeable backlight bleed at all 4 corners, worse than I have seen on many monitors costing 1/10th the price, which is not acceptable on a monitor of this class and price. Ultrawide 1440p @ 100Hz needs beastly graphics hardware to keep up. Even dual GTX 1080's in SLI can drop below 60FPS in a handful of titles with my i7-5930k @ 4.5GHz. ROG light doesn't shut off when monitor goes to sleep.

Additional Comments

This monitor is not worth the $1900 retail price, If you can pick it up on sale for $1500 or less, go for it. The stand and back style are either love it or hate it, I love it. I got mine during the Black Friday sale.

Money well spent

Strengths of the product

100Hz refresh rate on a beautiful 1440p ultrawide? Huge plus. Response time is quick enough for all but the pickiest of gamers. No perceivable input lag for myself. The resolution is amazing. Unless you sit 6 inches from your monitor, you won't see any pixels. Massive screen real-estate. About 80% less than my previous triple monitor setup, it feels as big and so much smoother. No annoying transfers between monitors, just lots of clear beautiful space. For compatible games, it can't be beat.

Weaknesses of the product

While this is an amazing monitor for gaming, the aspect ratio can be an issue for some titles. This is usually only an issue for console ports that haven't been optimized for anything out of the realm of 16:9 and games that are more than 3-4 years old, and even then some scale surprisingly well Compared to a 144Hz TN panel, it is marginally slower, but the difference is minute unless you are really a stickler for seeing every frame you're getting in your games.

Additional Comments

The amount of screen real-estate is fantastic. I moved from a triple 1080p monitor setup, and going from that to a smooth, bezel-less experience is fantastic. While slower than my previous 144Hz panels, the difference is negligible. The colour is also a vast upgrade over TN panels, and really helps immerse you in what you're doing. This monitor is perfect for my uses. If you are a gamer that wants one of the fastest, most beautiful IPS panels on the market, look no further.
