DO NOT buy

Strengths of the product

I haven't found any

Weaknesses of the product

Just google this drive and you will find more people having problems than those singing its praises. The main issue is that Windows 10 won't recognize the drive even though Device Manager does. Save your money and time and aggravation

Additional Comments

Stay away from this one.

none

POOR RELIABILITY

Additional Comments

BUY A better RAID unit or other source to copy drives and backups, not a good option... looks good but not reliable! WASTE OF MONEY!

Fails to recognize drives

Strengths of the product

Consumes power Bright blue LEDs

Weaknesses of the product

Fails to recognize drives Causes OS to crash Creates interesting troubleshooting scenarios

Additional Comments

After ~3months use, stops recognizing drives that any other (tested) HDD dock picks up. Believed to be cause of windows hard OS crashes after the flakiness on recognition began. (OS crashes randomly with dock powered on and connected, doesn't with dock not connected). Not scientific results, but it's what I saw. YMMV

Very good

Strengths of the product

Ease of use, solid design & fast transfer speeds

Weaknesses of the product

None

Additional Comments

Couldn't afford a raid setup and didn't want two external storage units on my desk. This keeps the drives open to airflow and for a very reasonable price. It has the practicality of an external storage unit mixed with NAS plug and play.
