Strengths of the product

Small compact (Sort Of).. Cheap Price when on sale.

Weaknesses of the product

I bought 2 of these hard drives and.both of them at different times started making the "Going to die soon" sound. Like a spinning record on glass ticking and spinning.. If you know anything about computers or hard drives then you know the sound I am talking about. I also had to plug them in the USB sometimes 2 or 3 times before my computer would recognize them I am running Win 10 Home Edition. I have no problems recognizing any other portable drives in the same usb port?? The drive is a lot bulkier then a WD Passport and a lot more weight to them,

Additional Comments

I bought 2 of these hard drives when they were on sale. for $130.00 ea. Never used them until 4 months later when the hard drive that I was using, was on it's way out. I needed to replace a couple of failing Seagate FreeAgent Go Flex drives I copied all my files onto both of these hoping they wouldn't fail like the drives I am replacing. I have 4 TB of music /pictures ect.on both. Now both of them sound like they are biting the dust after transferring all the files over. Now I am going to have to buy and transfer all to another couple hard drives. I hope I can do it before I won't be able to access them. Only this time I will be going to WD Passport hard drives... I have only had one o those WD Passports go dead on me after continuously using it for 4 yrs. Actually every Seagate HD I have bought failed way faster then any WD Hard drive I had. Man what a joke! Maybe I got 2 duds who knows?? At least he review before mine managed to get 2 yrs out of them. I got roughly 1 week; maybe less if I just count how much I actually used them and not when I purchased them. Try to get warranty out of them LMAO Seagate has poor customer service and warranty to say the least!! Stay Away from theses drives! The only appealing thing about them was the sale price! But if you can't get your money back after they fail within a week of actual use then they are not worth spending a penny on these drives! They would make good door stops but even then they would still be junk!

Strengths of the product

Cheap External looks nice. Compact for 4TB

Weaknesses of the product

Do no unplug without safely ejecting first this is what caused mass corruption then complete failure.

Additional Comments

Will have to return for warranty @ the manufacture.
