Solid Device Needs Base USB Connection

Strengths:

Solid aluminium chassis, not light plastic.

Weaknesses:

Needs to be connected to a USB 3.0 port on the motherboard. Will not work through another HUB even if powered.

Additional Comments:

This is a solid, sturdy device. If you have a Mac or Macbook, it will match the finish perfectly. However, it will not work if connected to the USB 3.0 ports on the back of a monitor or through any other type of HUB. It must be connected to a USB 3.0 port on the motherboard of the computer.
