Awesome set of cans! But...

Strengths of the product

-Audio. *See Summary -Fold up/down mic. Also flexible. -Comfortable, snug fit. Breathes well. -Lots of settings & customization available in software. -Controls/buttons directly on headset.

Weaknesses of the product

-(Included) but poor quality braided USB cable - Micro-usb end is flimsy. Single bump/knock disconnects the device. -Glue on foam headband - Not enough, or poor quality glue...can be easily fixed with your own careful application of super glue.

Additional Comments

*You are at the mercy of the device it's plugged into. No onboard audio processing of any kind - Plug into motherboard with high-quality audio chip and it's FANTASTIC. Plug into USB port on cheap laptop from 3 years ago...audio quality will (unsurprisingly) be abysmal. I take care of my stuff...but for $200 I feel like the headband glue and cable problem should be addressed/fixed. I bought mine almost a year ago from the time of writing this review so maybe that's been sorted out.

Very Good Audio, Garbage Software

Strengths of the product

the audio quality is really, really good. and the ability to switch sound profiles on the fly is awesome. best of all, i can hear what's going on around me while i'm rocking out, but the audio leak is minimal. it sits perfectly on the head. i love the additional cable to tap my phone into the feed and the ability to switch to it or have it play inline with other audio. the fold up mic is a real bonus.

Weaknesses of the product

the software for these headphones is classic Logitech garbage. as of the latest version, it's slow, clunky and seems to hang at a sideways glance. i recommend just using the software version from early 2017 and you'll be fine, however. Win10 crap doesn't help much either... i did have an issue with the cable popping out of the headset with fairly little pressure, but i gave it a shot of Crazy Glue and it stays put now. (didn't stick entirely, but now grips MUCH better)

Additional Comments

all-in-all, if the colour things are not critiical for you and you can get your hands on the early Gaming Software version, this is a solid headset and i've used it every day, literally all day, since i bought it in late 2015.

Strengths of the product

None

Weaknesses of the product

Does not work with Xbox one or one S. For the price i would expect these to work out of the box. Spent hours Xmas morning trying to get these to work with no such luck.

Strengths of the product

good sound

Weaknesses of the product

usb cord constatnly comes unplugged with the littlest touch right out of the box because it also plugs into the headset itselft. The genius's at logitech never thought to put a locking mechanism on the part that connects to the headphone. So if you go to turn your head or something or you touch the part that connect to the headphone it unplugs and it will mute your sound in TeamSpeak etc. and your mic until you go through your settings again. Logitech knows about the issue but does nothing.

Really Good Sound, Customizable

Strengths of the product

- Great sound - Preset EQ settings depending on how you use the headset - Crisp sound throughout the 7.1 surround - Really nice bass - Comes with detachable braided USB cord. Can also be used as a normal set of headphones, cord comes with it as well. - Mic can be tucked away out of sight - Customizable lighting colours

Weaknesses of the product

- Trip the volume slightly when putting them on sometimes due to the placement of the volume wheel on the back-left of the ear cup, but there is a sound notification in your ears when that happens. - Kinda bulky

Additional Comments

All in all a great gaming headset with good enough sound for music. May even give a bit of an advantage in FPS for those of us who don't know how to adjust advanced EQ settings for better footstep tracking.
