Not bad for a mic/cam combo

Strengths of the product

Setup is easy - Google C920 drivers and get that going. Then, in Windows 10, you need to Right-click on the Windows button, and search for "Privacy Settings" to enable the Webcam to work with your apps. Install level = easy. The "Logitech Camera Settings" is a useful tool, and can be even be used for some basic video effects. I used Windows Movie Maker 10 to make a quick test video and I am satisfied with the results. The mounting method is clever, and works quite well once you get the hang of it.

Weaknesses of the product

The mic results in a bit of a boomy sounding capture, but overall the intelligibility of spoken voice is quite good. Also, it comes with a 3 foot (1m) cord. If you're picking this unit up, get a USB extension cable to save a trip back to Memory Express if you have a typical "PC on the floor by your deck" setup. I went back to Memory Express and bought a 6 foot USB extension cable (MX42758) and it did the trick.

Additional Comments

It's a very good entry level solution for the price point. I would have given it 5 stars had the mics given a less boomy sound. Get the MX42758 USB extension cable while you're in the store to save a trip.

Strengths of the product

Adapts to low light Clear picture Decent software

Weaknesses of the product

Doesn't rotate Lacks a physical lense cap/shutter

Additional Comments

The camera functions fantastically. Great picture. The lense cap issue wasn't a deal breaker because it's in an office, not a bedroom. So no worries there for me. Might be a dealbreaker for others. Would have liked a slight rotation built into the mount.
