Very good PSU, but voltage issues after 4 years

Strengths of the product

- Efficient - Quiet - USB monitoring dongle provides tweaking and fan control - High quality components - Individual cables are very well made and sturdy - Warranty and Customer Service via Corsair - Stable, strong power.

Weaknesses of the product

- Price - Began having issues ~ 4 years in

Additional Comments

Has been my faithful daily PC power supply for years. Very good quality, and the Corsair Link software / dongle are really great for overclockers and more mundane system monitoring alike. However, 4 years after building my PC, started to trip my motherboard's voltage protection feature. Running off of a UPS battery backup and very high quality surge protector made no difference. Currently getting it RMA'ed with Corsair, though, so +1 star for good customer service and 7 years of protection!

Top of the line PSU under 1000watt!

Strengths of the product

- Extremely Quiet -Platinum Certified; runs at 90% + efficiency -All cables are individual sleeved -7 years warranty -Comes with CorsairLink software to monitor your PSU and other parts of the system in real time -

Weaknesses of the product

-Could be cheaper

Additional Comments

This psu is extremely quiet, the fan doesn't spins until the system goes over 30 - 40% loads. Paired this with a Noctua nh-d14, the system is so quiet that sometimes I don't even realize the computer is on at all. All cables are nicely sleeved all the way in black, which is a must for chassis with window. 7 years is another big plus for such an expensive psu, so at least i won't have to worry about buying a new psu for a very very long time.
