Awesome Cooler

Strengths of the product

Quiet Efficient Cools very well

Weaknesses of the product

Slightly big

Additional Comments

For the price, you cant go wrong, one of the best air coolers you can get at such a low cost! Relatively quiet, great for low to medium overclocking (have my i5-4670k sitting at 4.2 GHz, could possibly push it to 4.4 no problem). Would totally recommend if purchasing watercooling is out of budget or not needed!

Works Great

Strengths of the product

I was surprised how much of an improvement this cooler was. I haven't seen CPU temps over 35 degrees on my 4770K. I was worried about the size of this thing and potential noise factor. Turns out it fits no problem at all in my Corsair 330 case, and runs nearly silent. For the price I don't think you can beat the 212 evo.

Weaknesses of the product

Install was a little bit of a pain. Depending on your case you'll most likely have to remove the MB to install a back mount for an Intel 1150, then mess around with the adjustable mounting bracket. Took me longer than it probably should have (~ 1 hour). But If I can install it, anyone can... I'd be less likely to recommend this to someone looking for a replacement part as opposed to new build component, only because you'll potentially have to take a lot of stuff apart to get it installed.

Additional Comments

Works great, can't beat it for the price. Surprised with how effective it is, and really surprised with how quiet.

Good, Cheap, Good Looking

Strengths of the product

Does its job well and looks good in my ThermalTake MK-I case.

Weaknesses of the product

Only comes with one fan.

Additional Comments

I'm using this on an i5-2500k overclocked at 4.5Ghz with temperatures never exceeding 50C. I added another fan which is running faster than the intake fan and I think that makes a difference. I replaced the intake fan with one with LED's and it looks pretty nice considering the price. The cooler was easy to install and not too bad to work around it if you have a big case.

Nice cooler at a great price

Strengths of the product

It's been pretty quiet so far, even with gaming, temp hasn't gotten over 35 degrees. I didn't think it was going to fit in my case but it actually looks really cool in there. The installation was pretty simple too.

Weaknesses of the product

None so far.

Additional Comments

A very nicely priced cooler, it's working great and is allot quieter than the stock fan that came with my cpu which sounded like a jet engine when I fired up games. It's pretty big but will fit in a normal sized mid tower, if you have a slim case forget it.

Strengths of the product

It's tall but not too tall. Gives a great look to the inside of your computer. Stays cool for hours, fan can be controlled on the fly. Pretty easy to install.

Weaknesses of the product

Only that it should come with 2 fans. Maybe some better thermal paste should be included.

Additional Comments

If you use the stock cooler for your CPU, upgrade to this ASAP. It runs cooler, faster, and just overall better. Can be used on overclocked CPUs which is a big plus. If you're looking for something cheap, reliable and easy to install, this is for you!

Good Heat Sink

Strengths of the product

Fan is Quiet, heat is lowered

Weaknesses of the product

Very large, must have a large case to fit this. Have to remove motherboard to add brace so that heat sink is secured safely to motherboard. Instructions are a little on the poor side.

Additional Comments

Its excellent, I just did not expect to remove my motherboard so that the brace system can get installed underneath. So it may take longer then expected to install

Good cooler

Strengths of the product

Picked this up yesterday for my i7 3770k. Can keep the temps under 60 @ 4.2ghz.

Weaknesses of the product

Anything over the 4.2-4.4ghz mark, and you will need liquid cooling. I tried a 4.7ghz OC with this fan and my temps were instantly up in the high 80's, low 90's

Additional Comments

Good if you are planning on keeping your cpu at stock or a small overclock.

OK cooler for overclocking

From Edmonton

Strengths of the product

At 4.0 GHz it keeps my cpu within the 70C range while running Prime95, at idle around 32C. It's a great cooler if you're not planning on doing a lot of overclocking.

Weaknesses of the product

At 4.5 GHz using the thermal compound included with it my average temp while running Prime95 was 90C. And this is even after putting a Silverstone AP121 fan on the cooler and putting tape over the edges to increase airflow through the fins.

Additional Comments

This cooler excels when doing moderate overclocking, but as sooner as you kick it up a notch it doesn't do so good. I would say its definitely worth the price for the performance you get out of it. If you're not doing stress testing it will work fine at 4.5 GHz or lower, for gaming my temps at that frequency were within 70C.

2600k OC'd to 4.7 ghz WITH hyperthreading

Strengths of the product

Amazing, low price. Great cooling capabilities.

Weaknesses of the product

Won't fit into all cases.

Additional Comments

Using this heatsink and an asus asus pz68-v pro I run my i7 2600k at 4.7 ghz with hyperthreading enabled at a very reasonable 65C when running intel burn in. This fan allows me to squeeze an extra $300 worth of performance out of my PC.
