Strengths:
Fits Silverstone drive caddies.
Can use sata power or older molex.
Cables long enough for some management for neatness.
I guess it could be used by itself if someone wanted to run it outside a case for quick swapping bare drives.
Weaknesses:
Extra expense on top of Silverstone caddy.
Seven bucks on sale still a little bit pricey (that would be OK if you got all four needed to the CFP52B at that price!).
Power and data cables point upward when screwed to caddy. Worked OK for me as I could run the cables out to the side of the case and down to come back to the motherboard.
Additional Comments:
Using with CFP52B 4 drive caddy/bay converter.
This allows you remove or insert a SATA drive without opening the case to connect power and data cables.
For most convenience, the port you connect the SATA to would need to support hot swapping.
I think I'll get another 3 to prepare my CFP52B bay converter.
