-Price was to my budget at that time of purchase. -4060 GPU. Videos and gaming looks amazing. -WiFi 6 makes connectivity very fast. -Last gen CPU can handle the work and games I throw at it. -Ease of upgrading and repairs. -Surprisingly light for its size.

-Screen looks washed-out under certain light. -Power adaptor block can get uncomfortably warm, especially during charging. -Cooling an issue. Both GPU and CPU gets hot to the point that I feel the heat from the keyboards. -During high def video games and watching 4K movies, fans ran full speed and sounded like a jet taking off. -Only 8GB of RAM and 500GB of SDD space. -Windows 11. Enough said.

Gigabyte did make a great 4000 GPU series laptop, but it does comes with it downsides. This is my first new purchase of a laptop in over 6 years. One that is not a hand-me-down, open box, or 2nd hand from someone I know. The price was within my budget at that time and it allowed me to invest in a new laptop with latest gen specs. The problems (weaknesses) I listed can be remedied with some work arounds. For the cooling problem: I recommend to check the thermal paste on GPU and CPU. Also get a laptop cooling pad that helps airflow to bottom of laptop. For the RAM and SDD: Both can be upgraded with higher GB RAM cards and a higher volume SDD. I upgraded both when parts were on sale. Microsoft windows 11: Wish microsoft wasn't so annoying or intrusive in my life. May think of installing a different OS. Will look into other options like Steam OS or Linux. Overall: Not bad but not great either. If you want a laptop that can do both work and games for short periods of time this might work for you. I will stick with this unit until I can keep it cool during normal operations or it catches fire.
